Virginia Lorraine Moore

Virginia Lorraine Moore, resident of Ft. Worth, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026. She was 82 years old. Virginia was born on March 19, 1944 in Prague, Oklahoma to Lindsay “Buster” Moore and Oama Berniece Moore. She started working at the age of 14 and only recently retired. Most notably she worked as an Oklahoma City Police Officer and a Project Manager at Tinker Air Force Base.

She was a world traveler and enjoyed knitting, sewing and other crafts. She had a love for horses and was a passionate mother and grandmother.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Oama Moore, sister, Wanda Sands, and great-niece, Marie Taylor Sands.

She is survived by her nephew, Gary Sands, extended family, Stephanie Bryan, son, Randy Johnson, daughter, Tammy Johnson,  and her grandchildren.

A memorial ceremony for Virginia will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 10:00 am at the Walker Funeral Chapel.
