Rannie O. Coching

Rannie O. Coching, 59, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on August 21, 2026. He was born in Manila, Philippines, on October 9, 1966, to Richard and Eden Lay.

Rannie was a proud graduate of Earlsboro High School. He worked as a service technician for DIRECTV for 17 years. He was known for being a jokester and making everyone around him laugh. Rannie had a contagious laugh and smile. He was straightforward and set in his ways. If he liked you, you were considered family. Although he was known for his stern attitude, he would do anything to help others.

Rannie was always willing to teach others how to repair vehicles without taking over the job. He was incredibly talented at whatever he set his mind to accomplish.

Some of Rannie’s proudest accomplishments included renovating his entire home and building his truck from scratch. He loved to build and add on to the house and work on projects around the property. He especially enjoyed spending time in the shop working on vehicles.

Most important of all was the family he built with his wife, Rachael, and their son, Ronnie. Rannie treasured the time spent with his family, including bonding over the game Paris-Paris with his mother, Aunt Mila, sister Nancy, sister-in-law Jeanne, and his wife. He was a strong figure in his family and will always be deeply loved and missed.

Rannie is survived by his wife, Rachael Coching; son, Ronnie O. Coching Jr., and daughter-in-law, Christine Coching; daughter, Whitney Coching; son, Ronnie R. Coching; mother, Eden Lay; sister, Beth Starnes, and brother-in-law, Keath Starnes; brother, Wilburn H. Lay; brother, Richard D. Lay; brother, Richard P. Lay, and sister-in-law, Jeanne Lay; brother, Richard H. Lay Jr., and sister-in-law, Belinda Lay; sister-in-law, Theresa Prado; brother-in-law, Joshua Harrison; daughter, Victoria Lyles, and son-in-law, Anthony Lyles; son, Rene Silva Jr., and daughter-in-law, Michelle Silva; grandchildren, Bryson Coching, Sariah Campbell, Adam Cruz, Kayloni Cruz, Makana Silva, Elijah McCree, and Peakalika Silva; as well as many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, and great friends.
