Michael Lee Hathaway

Michael Lee Hathaway, age 57, was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on September 20, 1969. Michael passed away unexpectedly just outside of Wewoka, Oklahoma, on August 27, 2026.

Michael was born and raised in Wisconsin, where he resided until January 2014, when he, his wife, Missy Hathaway, and their children, Michelle Atkins, Jessy Ford, and Bella Pahl-Hathaway, along with son-in-law Joe Jones, moved to Wetumka, Oklahoma. They lived there until November 2015, when they moved to Seminole, Oklahoma, where Michael continued to reside until June 2025. He then moved to Ada, Oklahoma, with his daughter, Michelle Atkins, who followed shortly after, joining him in September 2025.

Michael was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran and a true jack-of-all-trades. He was an all-around handyman who was always working on, fixing, or building something. Michael was happiest when he was keeping busy and working with his hands.

Michael lost his beloved wife, Missy, on June 6, 2019. They began their life together in 2002 and were married in 2012. Michael and Missy shared a deep bond, and she remained the love of his life and his soulmate.

Michael is preceded in death by his wife, Missy Hathaway, as well as numerous other family members on both his and his wife's sides of the family.

He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Dawn Hathaway of Wisconsin; five daughters, Michelle Atkins and Brandon Killgore of Oklahoma, Cheyenne Hathaway of Wisconsin, Bella Pahl-Hathaway of Oklahoma, Madison Hathaway of Wisconsin, and Jessy Ford and Joe Jones of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, David, Miha, and Rayden, all of Wisconsin; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family members.

Michael was a hard worker, provider, and protector. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him and will forever remain in our hearts and memories.

May he rest in peace alongside his beloved wife and soulmate, Missy. Fly high, Michael. You will never be forgotten.
