Lana Jo Duncan

Duncan, Lana Jo (Scott), age 71, of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at home. She was born on January 22nd, 1955 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to James and Ester (Carter) Scott, one of eleven children. Lana was raised and schooled in Shawnee, graduating from Shawnee School in 1973. Roscoe L. Duncan has been her husband for over 45 years. In her career, Lana served as a seamstress for Roundhouse and Wrangler. Lana loved animals and gardening. She had a soft place in her heart for the dogs and cats that came into her life. Additionally, she enjoyed spending time with her hands in the soil, planting and tending to her plants. Those that she loved were loved fully and given the directness of her perspective, for which she was well known.

Survivors include her husband Roscoe, daughters: Yannah Frazier and husband David, Marcy Duncan, Jodie Duncan; grandchildren: Laila Smith, Katherine Meeks, Daisy Meeks, Randi-Lynn LeMasters, Ryan Pursell, Aaron Collins, Caden Hamlin, and great grandson Clayton LeMasters.

Lana was preceded in death by her parents, and numerous siblings.

A graveside ceremony to celebrate her life will be held at 2pm Thursday, August 27, 2026 at Johnson Cemetery northeast of Shawnee.
